Pad foundations give localised support to columns, posts and other load-bearing points. They are common for modular buildings, where each unit sits on a grid of pads.
Civio sets out and excavates the pads, prepares the formation and places the reinforcement and concrete to the approved foundation detail. We have delivered pad foundations for modular classrooms at East Tilbury School and Park Hill School, and on the £1 million scheme at 124 Queens Road, Walthamstow.

What are concrete pad foundations used for?
They support individual load points such as columns, posts and modular building units, where a continuous strip or raft is not needed.
Do you work to supplied foundation drawings?
Yes. We work from the engineer’s drawings and agreed levels, and check the formation before any concrete is placed.
