Block paving combines strength with design flexibility. Laid in an interlocking pattern on a compacted sub-base, it carries pedestrians and vehicles and can be lifted and relaid if services need to be reached.
Most problems with block paving, such as settlement, poor drainage or shifting blocks, come from the base, not the blocks. Civio excavates, builds the sub-base, sets the edges and lays the blocks to the agreed pattern and falls.

The area is excavated and a compacted sub-base is installed to prevent sinking or shifting.

Blocks are laid to the agreed pattern and falls, with edge restraints fixed.

Finishing
Joints are filled and the surface compacted, then checked before handover.
